Conditions of Salah in Islam

This is a general guideline for the conditions of Salah. This article is not complete in every aspeect but includes the information I was able to obtain on this topic at this time. I will continue to update this post as the information comes to me inshaAllah...

The conditions of Salah Are as follows:

Al Islam: One must be a Muslim to make the Salat

-Anyone making the Salah Must be a Muslim, surely a kufar making the Salah will do him no good until he first accepts the conditions of Shahadah

Al aql: One must be sane and in one's right mind and conciousness

-Anyone making the Salah must be fully in his right mind concious and aware of his senses inshallah

Al Tamyeez: state of knowing, understanding accountability

-Anyone making the Salah must be of an age of knowing, being aware of the meaning and difference between right and wrong and of the conditions of Salat.

State of Purity: you must be in Wudu and not be in your cycle of menses or in any other condition which causes you to be in an unpure state*

- Anyone making the Salah must be in a state of purity particularly wudu

Removal of filth: Must be in clean suitable garments

- Anyone making Salah must be in clean clothing which properly covers your body and be clean of any filth coming from the body.

Covering of the Awrah: the covering of your private parts and part which can not be seen by other than your immediate family.

_ The Awrah is the private parts of men from naval to kneee and the entire body of a woman excluding the hands and face.

Commencement of time: prayers made in specific time

- The prayer is not to be prayed early but can be made up at later time

Facing the direction of the Qiblah: be sure to face the proper direction when making the salah

-several on line sites offer direction by zipcodes for the direction in which to offer the Salah.

Intention An- NiyaaH : the giving intent to make a certaian offering of the Salah

- you mst make the intention by saying "I intend to offer a particular salat or number of units of Salah.InshaAllah"

All these conditions must apply. These are the conditions upon which Salah is made if any part of this is missing the Salah is invalid. Allah Knows best.
